Each year during National Assisted Living Week, the Welch Group celebrates residents with week-long festivities in four Allerton House Assisted Living Communities along the South Shore. One of the highlights of the week is the Assisted Living Luncheon, held at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston.

Paul Casale, Jr. executive director of Allerton House at Central Park in Weymouth, and emcee for the annual celebration, said staying at the forefront of new technological advances is part of the Allerton House mission.

By way of introducing the Luncheon’s guest speaker Sarah Hoit, he said she embodied the theme, “Keeping Connected.” Hoit is the CEO and co-founder of Connected Living, an award-winning program that helps residents get online using a secure, easy-to-use cloud-based social network, coupled with customized training and support that teaches seniors how to use technology, and also provides ongoing support that helps them to stay connected for the long-term. Hoit’s program is in use in all Allerton Houses, and soon the company will roll out a new App for families and residents.

The family-owned Welch Group offers assisted living communities along the South Shore, in Duxbury, Hingham, Marshfield, and Weymouth. The company includes two independent living communities, the only continuing care retirement community from Boston to Cape Cod offering garden homes and two memory care assisted living communities.
